
The 2026 AESI Early Career Researcher Day will take place January 22, 2026 at Teagasc Ashtown.
A book of abstracts and agenda will be avilable shortly.
Following the same format as last year, this year’s edition will include two types of sessions: Standard paper session: 10 min presentation + 5 min Q&A
Discussion paper session: 15 min presentation + 3 min discussant + 5 min Q&A
Please note: discussion papers will require a full paper submission by January 8th
Submissions from postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, or persons within three years completing their PhD regarding the following topics are welcome: economic and social research in the fields of agriculture, food, the environment and rural development. The Bob O’Connor Prize will also be awarded to the best student papers.
A panel session on networking and building research collaboration, featuring Maura Farrell of University of Galway, Maeve Henchion of Teagasc, and Stacey Kelly of UCD.
